Sarah Lutz is a Swiss orchestrator, composer and sound designer. She holds a BA degree in Musicology from the Leopold Franzens University in Innsbruck/Austria. After graduating with honors, she received the Richard and Emmy Bahr Scholarship, which allowed her to study intensively with LA-based orchestrator and composer Tim Davies. In 2016, she graduated from Chichester University with an MA in Orchestration for Film, Television and Video Games. In 2016, she was selected to be part of the first LAFCI’s conducting class with David Newman and Angel Velez. Sarah works primarily as an orchestrator for various composers in film, television, and video games. In 2016, she founded Dadora Music, an orchestration and music prep company for film, TV and video game productions. Numerous orchestrations followed, including for Tim Burton`s Miss Peregrine`s Home for Peculiar Children (2016), the Netflix miniseries Godless (2017), the Spider-Man videogame for PS4 (2018), and the hr-2 Kultur Christmas radio drama production Mansfield Park (2020). Since January 2018, she is project collaborator (prae doc) in the DACH research project Towards a Theory of Musical Writing: Iconic, performative, operative and material aspects of musical notation(s).
