1.1 Introduction to the composing and arranging for TV & Cinema, Libraries & Artists
1.2 Melody treatment & reharmonization techniques vs. style
1.3 Composition techniques - building and development of a arr.- intro’s / theme / transitions / Tags / outros / arr. techniques etc., design and construction of a work - arrangement plan
1.4 instrumentation / orchestration - combinations - soundscapes vs. synthesis
1.5 Sound Vision - combinations WW, Str. - textures - voicing types
1.6 Orchestration templates - from "lead sheet" to the final score - hand writing - vs. Sibelius / Finale - tips. - deep focus on "Writing for Strings"
1.7 Examples from film music: J. Goldsmith, J. Williams, B. Hermann, E. Hagen, D. Raksin, D. Grusin, J. Mandel, M. Legrand, J. Calandrelli and others, many of own works shown, detailed analysis


Oliver F. Koelling is a composer, arranger and producer based in Mexico City and Hamburg. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. His clients include among others Universal Records/Polydor, Intervox Records, Studio Hamburg Productions, RTL TV, NDR Radio Philharmonic, Televisa TV Mexico.

Kuno Schmid is a pianist, composer and arranger. As a son of a concert pianist, componist, arranger and producer he already explored his sense for music in his early age. He studied the piano and composition at the National College for Music and Performing Arts Stuttgart. This was followed by numerous concerts, productions and arrangements worldwide. In the year 2006 Schmid won an Annie Award for his music in the Disney production Dream On Silly Dreamer. 2010 he won the Grammy Award Certificate as arranger, director and musical director of Marian Petrescu’s Tribute To Oscar Peterson.
