Youki Yamamoto is Japanese composer, arranger and orchestrator, who is primarily known for his collaboration with OSCAR winner Rachel Portman and Patrick Doyle.

Born in Yokohama, Japan, Yamamoto has been resident in UK since 1988. He then went on to graduate in 1999 from the Royal Academy of Music, where he studied composition.
Over the past seventeen years, Yamamoto has worked on numerous films ranging from British, German, French, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Canadian, American as an orchestrator, programmer and composer from HARRY POTTER to the multi award winning score for the Turkish film MERYEM.
Working with others regardless of nationality has come to be one of his unique characteristics.
His versatile character also affects (or extends to) the way he creates his music and his orchestration.
In 2013, his score for MARYEM has been nominated and won multi awards including the Best Score from Golden Orange Film Festival.
Recent scoring include KIRIMLI directed by Burak Arliel and orchestrating THE DEVIL’S HARVEST music by Mario Grigorov.
